Calathea Crocata, 4" Plant

Calatheas make for great houseplants to collect because the family features plants of with many different colors of leaves. Velvet Calatheas get their name from the tiny hairs that cover its leaves and stems and give the plant a soft, velvety feel. They have purple stems with deep green leaves and a dark purple underside. These tropical beauties are great for livening up a warm spot in the bedroom or bathroom!

Recommendations for growing success:

Water: Keep soil moist at all times, reducing watering in the winter by allowing the top layer of soil to dry between watering

Soil: Use well draining soil

Light: Partial shade to indirect sunlight
