Calathea Rufibarba Velvet, 6" Plant

Calatheas make for great houseplants to collect because the family features plants with a variety of foliage patterns and colors. Velvet Calatheas get their name from the tiny hairs that cover the leaves and stems and give the plant a soft, velvety feel. They have purple stems with deep green leaves and a dark purple underside. These tropical beauties are great for livening up a warm spot in the home!

Recommendations for growing success:

Water: Keep soil moist at all times, reducing watering in the winter by allowing the top layer of soil to dry between watering

Soil: Use well draining soil

Light: Partial shade to indirect sunlight
