This Sage likes full sun to part shade and well-draining soils. The soil should be allowed to become slightly dry between waterings.
Plants should be spaced 16 to 20 inches apart.
Cut back in late winter to early spring, or before flowering, but avoid pruning out the woody material unless it's dead. New growth can be trimmed back during the growing season to encourage more shoots and a more compact plant.
Sage has many companion plants! It's known to be beneficial to rosemary, cabbage, beans, brussels sprouts, carrots, strawberries, tomatoes, and marjoram.
