Opuntia Monacantha, 6" Plant

This is a very unique cactus which is part of the prickly pear family. Opuntia monacantha is also known as Joseph's Coat because of the striking pink and purple that develops along the top of the cactus!

Recommendations for growing success:

Light: Direct sunlight, a windowsill makes a good home

Water: In late spring to summer months water thoroughly with tepid water when soil dries out, water more sparingly in the winter

Repotting: Repot every year in the spring when the plant is young, only increase pot size slightly
