Opuntia Microdasys Rubra, 2" Plant

Opuntia Microdasys Rubra is also known as a Blind prickly pear. This cactus is native to Texas and northern Mexico where it grows out of limestone outcroppings. Under the right conditions Opuntia rufida will bloom in several different colors! 

Recommendations for growing success: 

Light: Direct sunlight, a windowsill makes a good home

Water: In late spring to summer months water thoroughly with tepid water when soil dries out, water more sparingly in the winter

Repotting: Repot every year in the spring when the plant is young, only increase pot size slightly
