Stelitzia is also known as Bird of Paradise. In some areas Bird of Paradise is a shrub/perennials but can also be used as beautiful fast growing houseplant that will thrive well in a high or medium light situation. 

Recommendations for growing success:

Light: Lots of bright light, shade from summer noonday sun

Water: Let surface of soil dry out between waterings

Repotting: Repot every year in the spring
