Good Friday  -  Friday, April 3, 2026

Mother’s Day  -  Sunday, May 10, 2026

Last Assumed Frost Date in Spokane Area  -  Friday, May 15, 2026

Memorial Day  -  Monday, May 25, 2026

Father’s Day  -  Sunday, June 14, 2024

Cole Crops: Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Lettuce, and Onions = Plant the first week of April and throughout the month.

Beans = Plant after the frost ends (May 15th) when the soil temperature is at least 60 degrees.

Beets = Plant the first week of April and throughout the month.

Collards = Plant the first week of April and throughout the month.

Corn = Begin planting on May 1st at one (1) week increments for six (6) weeks.

Cucumbers = Plant after the Frost ends (May 15th) when the soil temperature is at least 60 degrees.

Garlic = Plant the first week of April and throughout the month.

Kale = Plant the first week of April and throughout the month.

Kohlrabi = Plant the first week of April and throughout the month.

Melons = Plant after the Frost ends (May 15th) when the soil temperature is at least 60 degrees.

Okra = Start planting indoors six (6) weeks prior to planting in the Garden on June 1st.

Onions = Plant the first week of April and throughout the month.

Parsnips = Plant the first week of April and throughout the month.

Peas = Plant the first week of April and throughout the month.

Peppers = Plant around Memorial Day, an early start will not speed them up; heat does.

Potatoes = Plant when the ground temperature reaches at least 40 degrees.

Squash = Plant after the frost ends (May 15th) when the soil temperature is at least 60 degrees.

Strawberries = Plant in March when they become available in the store.

Swiss Chard = Plant in late March.

Tomatoes = Plant after the frost ends (May 15th) when the soil temperature is at least 60 degrees.
