What are Plug Plants and How to Plant Them?

A plug is a plant that was grown in a large tray with many cells. When you receive your plug, you will want to soak it in water for one to two hours before potting it. Then plant your plug into a pot that is no more than four inches in diameter. When you are ready, fill your pot with soil until there is about quarter (1/4) inch space between the top of the pot and the soil. Make a hole in the middle of the soil that is the same size or a little larger than the plug. Place the plug into the hole so that the top of the soil on the plug is at the same level as the top of the soil in your pot. Water the newly planted plug until water drains out the bottom of your pot and discard any extra water. Follow the instructions that came with your plant for care and future watering. Now you get to enjoy watching your new plant grow!
